nice of them to show this stuff but.

EVE Online | EVE Insider | Dev Blog

part from losing ~6200 subs it really didnt seem to do a whole lot other then lowering the availability on a select few implants as the market craph evidently shows...

so they banned 6200 RMT's but without any significant effect...

the market didnt seem to care a whole lot. :)

so really i fail to see what they are patting themself on the back for here...

i mean, they just proved that RMT's actually isnt making the economy worse...

what they didn't show was the effect on tech2 ship pricing.

Pre- Macro Miner Bans. Unholy Rage and the Unlimited Gas Mining Bans most T2 ships were down to well under 100 million isk. The Vagabond was stable @ around 70 mill and most dictors were down to below 20million isk with only the sabre sitting at around 25mill isk.

Now.. Ship prices are through the roof and whilst they're not back to their peak prices popular roaming ships are extremely expensive.

humbug!

so how much are they costing nowadays then? if prices only went up 20 - 25 million a pop then its not that much higher.

Vagabond went from around 75mill to 125mill.

Rapiers from 70 to around 120

Munins from 60 to around 100

There's still deals to be had but - holy fuck that's some hike when you add rigs, t2 fittings etc

the new rig sizes however does mean it's not as holyfuckbatman as it was to setup ships properly.

bear in mind too, when you're trying to eke absolutely everything out of a ship with t2 / named / faction fits it starts to addup very quickly.

You must be loaded ctuchik! :)

I rarely fly dictors any more. I used to be able to buy, fit and rig a heretic for 18mil. Now they're 20/25 mill to buy :flame:

not that loaded. only have just under a billion atm i think it was when i unsubscribed.

i ended up doing what i usually do when i get bored of EvE, playing the market so i have some funds just incase i do return someday.

all the jumping back and forth with the hauler is the most boring part ever tho so i usually cant be arsed actually getting rich doing it.

Implants are also more expensive, +3's are up 100% or so

Else I'm fine with it, better than having shitloads macro ships lagging certain systems up

The only downside to it is that it's alot harder these days to score those nice fat juicy macro hauler kills :)

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong! You're taking CCP's line and I'll expand in a second after I quote that page...

those numbers have gone down by only around 10% overall.

10% in market trading terms is HUGE! Imagine if you got 10% interest on your bank account!

Not only that, but non-market-wise:
They are a heinous nuisance and a serious drawback on our systems and resources.

Thus a well-deserved pat on the back, I feel.

yes if it was affecting a person that deal with huge amount of sums at a time. wich most ppl in eve isnt doing.

10% on a large named tower is noticable, hardly so on a geddon for ~70 million.

You'd be surprised ctuchik.

I know quite a few guys who regularly seed or deplete a market to manipulate prices. It's gotten so commonplace now that sometimes you get best prices by visiting alliance low sec hubs rather than JITA

I know alot of pilots who regularly bought isk in the 5/10s of billions. When the guy imbezzled the eve bank he sold the isk that he stole for Aus$4000 or so. There was and I'd imagine still is big big money in the isk farming area.

You think it's just 10% of one large tower but it's 10% of pretty much everything of that on the market and when you use eve-central to check global market prices you can see the sums starting to stack up.

I personally say "meh" I preferred it when we had cheaper ships tbh :)

yes on a global scale it might make a difference. but for the vast majority of the individual players, those 10% means fuck all because they aint dealing in large enough sums of ISK at any given time (such as buying a carrier or dread).

i mean, even if you buy and fully fit a abaddon your not increasing the cost by more then maybe 30 - 50 million if your looking for a decent pve tank.

wich really isnt all that much ISK even for a half casual soloer these days.

atleast i dont think so.
