OPENGL Performance

Hi, i have a p3 500, and a tnt2 ultra, with the latest patch in tribes. The opengl is crap, its soo slow, is there anyway of making it faster, like a new opengl file ???

Um.. dunno why it should be slow. I have a p3 500 at work with a PCI tnt1 in it and get over 30 frames on every map. Ensure you run the 2.08 drivers on your card, turn off dynamix lighting as well and only run tribes in 16bit colour. 32bit looks nice but it kills it.

The OpenGL port in Tribes is crap. I have a geForce and it performs poorer than a single Voodoo2. Tribes is my favorite game, but now I wont buy it because of this.
