By popular demand we are pleased to bring you a new server for the Open Beta. This server will use the Open RvR ruleset and is called Karak Azgal.
Karak Azgal was once known as Karak Izril, the City of Jewels. Famed for it's wealth, it attracted the finest Dwarf gemcutters and goldsmiths. Its wealth however was its undoing. Swarms of Orcs poured through the valleys drawn to the keep by tales of its legendary wealth. The keep was well defended and the sturdy Dwarfs could likely have held against the marauding Greenskins indefinitely however the Skaven took advantage of the diversion to launch their own assault from the caverns and tunnels below. Bitter fighting followed and the Dwarfs were finally forced back into the very heart of their once mighty hold. As all seemed lost, Runelord Stormbeard hid the fabled treasure of the Dwarfs in secret chambers concealed with mighty Runes of Hiding. Once these were secure, the Dwarfs made their escape and from then on the hold was known as Karak Azgal or Hoard Peak.
Treasure does not stay hidden for long however, even when a Runelord of great power conceals it. The great dragon Graug the Terrible made his lair in the ruins of the hold and, before long the hidden vaults were discovered. Graug added to the hoard over time until he was finally slain by a Dwarf adventurer who had gone in search of the wealth of his ancestors. Since then the ruins have become a magnet for treasure hunters and adventure seekers, it is said that riches beyond imagining are there for the taking however most find only death at the hands of unseen horrors in the murky depths.
A reminder of the differences for the Open RvR server type:
You will automatically be flagged for RvR everywhere except for Tier 1 Chapter hubs and your capital city.
There is no battle bolster buff in RvR areas or in scenarios.
If you enter a zone that is more than one tier lower than your current level, you will become a chicken.
