well, had some mixed experiences with online shopping over the last week, I brought a dvd/vcr recorder which i needed from ebay and which turned out to be utter crap when it came it was broken :( (any advice on getting your money back welcome) but then i tried my hand at online grocery shopping with tesco and woohoo!...i'll give you some background info so that makes sense...

I hate shopping, I mean i really hate it, friday nights I have to work a long day and dont finish till 7 then its to tesco, shop, home, unpack, dinner, bath...then bed urgh its awful so finally i snapped and decided to take the plunge i did it online on sunday arvo with a cuppa tea, was all painless and stessfree and the shopping arrived last night with a very nice polite helpful friendly delivery chap (unlike the labotomised monosyllabic sods you get in store) on time and all accounted for in good condition.

I am a convert, no more supermarket sweeping for me matey, tis online all the way...except when i get a new dvd/vcr...then i'm going to the shop lol.

You can open a dispute on Ebay. I bought something through Ebay but did not get the item i was looking for at all, so i filed a dispute and after a few weeks i got the money back (400 bucks). Don't wait too long to open that dispute tho.

I love online shopping. Saves me a bomb, means I don't have to que up with people who are inferior to me in every single perceivable way and I can masturbate to porn as I shop.

The downside? People like Citylink and Parcelforce are about as good as delivering as women are at driving.

I buy lots on line. Has always been good. Send other half to Tescos on a Saturday tho, he seems to think it stops me spending a fortune! Mistake, as I stock up at Sainsburys in the week.

lol did that ASAP (and the one on paypal too) i can't afford to kiss £50 goodbye.

also for online grocery shoppers, theres a natty service you can get where they email you the info about the stuff on special that week...which is nice.

also find it saves money because B2 is a demon for going about the store and just picking up stuff...lots of stuff, and then saying to me "we really should stick to the list" Oo

I regularly use amazon, play, aria and occasionally I use ebay, but thats only for rare books and things that I can't get anywhere else. I don't buy electronics from ebay unless its from one of the large sellers, I check their reputation :)

I've never been severely disappointed by something I bought online - except one time a fellow took such a long time to send something I had to leave negative feedback and open a dispute before he actually posted it.

I don't shop online from supermarkets, I'd spend too much because I wouldn't have to carry it home on the bus :D

Not had a serious problem with ebay either in, must be going for 10yrs now. Couple of times had some slow deliveries with people putting stuff up then going on hols, about it. Only other thing, is item descriptions which let the imagination run loose but aren't really inaccurate, just a matter of interpretation. That's letting you kid yourself tho. Less common now anyhows with almost 100% items photographed nowadays.

I can't think of a single purchase I've done over £10 the last 8 years or so I haven't done online. Here in Sweden it's just fucking moronic to buy anything in store really, you can get it shipped to your door for the same or less than the price at the store.

Our first on-line grocery shop was with Tesco. They completely ballsed the order up, and we've never gone back to them again. Either use Waitrose (expensive - can't say you get what you pay for because you don't really - Waitrose is overpriced), or we jump in the car and do it the old fashioned way.

First shop great success. They didn't have the advent calendars for the kids but replaced them with same priced ones which was good, other than that i was impressed with the whole service tbh.

I don't have a car at the moment by the way.
