Since I know these forums be filled with peeps that would know I thought I'd ask you guys to recommend your best online retailers for hardware and those that should be avoided like the plague.
http://www.scan.co.uk have always been ok for me (though I've read about other people moaning about late deliveries). They do a nice 'Today Only' page with some good bargains.
They may well deliver on time *most* of the time, but as soon as you have any problems, you're stuffed. Their customer service is totally non-existent. I haven't heard of anyone who's had an RMA processed in less than a month. It's utter, utter crap. Stay away. Dabs are just as cheap.
I forgot gameswire. Very cheap games, and one order I made, where the CDs were damaged, the were very good with the return, covering postage and sorting out within a week of me posting. Customer service responded to my query with 24 hours too.
Interesting - after using Dabs for years, I ordered some kit a couple of months back, and had a real bad experience. Web said an item was in stock - after waiting a week for delivery, they told me it wasn't, and that there 'was no estimated delivery date' !
Asked for refund, never happened, rang again ....... I'm sure you can guess the rest
I've started using Insight, and havn't had a problem to date - bloody good prices too.
other than those mentioned above www.cclcomputers.co.uk not a huge range of choice but good prices, reliable and friendly to boot. Overclockers r good but have you ever talked to any of them on the blower-- what a bunch of grumpy bathtubs.
NOOOO!!! NOOOO!!! NOOO!!! Simply, i hate em, they bombard me every 2 weeks with at least 3 letters and catalogues and i dont know why they choose me to get pestered, ive never even purchased nothing from them. PAH!
