Hi This is a long shot but someone out there might know the answer!!!

I have NTL 512k Teryon CM going through a Linksys Cable Router.
2 PC's sharing the connection
ever since installing the Linksys we cant seem to Play Counter-Strike on the same server, it just depends on who gets in the server first.
all worked fine when i used Wingate to share the connection!!!!
I can only think that its due to us using the same IP address but i'm not sure just a guess!!!!
Also it not due to any settings on the server as i run it from work

here is some more info on the servers
BT Openworld public server 62.7.250.5:27015
HD Clan server 62.7.250.5:36999
as you can see both servers on the same PC but using different ports the strange thing is we CAN get into the BT Openworld Public server together its just the second server the HD clan server

Any Ideas would be very much appreciated

Cheers Steve

Dunno, perhaps you need two different Cd keys?

I share my ISDN 128K with two other housemates and we can play on the same servers fine.

Well, two of us can play CS with a fine ping, but three makes the ping totally unplayable - so only two at a time...

Yeah mate we both have different CD-Keys and we can play most servers no probs at all,
just a server that has same IP and 2 different ports that we cant play on

I have 2 PCs sharing a Cable modem connection, and we can both play everything at the same time.

I dunno what a Linksys router is or why you've got it though, I just have 2 Network cards in one machine running ICS and pretty much everything else is automatic.

Yeah i see what your saying mate but i need to have the 2 PC's independently connected to the Cable modem so i dont have to rely on the primary PC to be turned on so the secondary machine has Internet access
