Had to check my calender to make sure it wasn't April 1st. RF signals can be blocked. Iran and Syria have been caught doing it on Ku Band Satellites recently, knocking out services TV News and internet services. Jamming attacks using targeted RF beams is pretty easy and difficult to trace. Can' see this working for long to be honest.
