One or two copies?

Hi people!

Im gonna buy the Shrouded Isles Expansion when it hits the stores, however, since I have two accounts I would like to know if I need to SI copies too?

Heard it's 1 copy a account.

Time to get that cash out from socks :D

You don't have to buy two copies... but if you only buy one copy of the expansion, you can only upgrade one of your accounts to SI. That means that only characters on that account can go to the new zones, you can only create new characters using the new classes and races on that account, and you can only use the new graphics engine on that account. If your other account is a just a buffbot or whatever, you can leave it with DAoC classic and quite happily continue to use it.

Except the buffbot cannot escort you, should you decide to explore the new zones:(

How i wish there would be new rvr zones on the new land(island?) :(

Well, I was able to create 2 accounts with only 1 game serial key (regular daoc), so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to with SI...

hide from the enemy in the RvR zone on SI? :)

if they ain't got the expansion they can't come fight...

Erm. Were you? You're not supposed to be able to, and I certainly couldn't...

I think he means u can use 2 acct's from the one install.. just by changeing login name and the PW.. not the serial key.

The 2 key's are needed to start the acct's tho

Odd... that's not supposed to be possible.

it would of been smarter to put my mates uncle created two accounts off one key.

This isn't possible. One account per CD key.

However once the accounts are setup you only need 1 cd key for as many installs as you like. This is not the same as what you have said above tho.

Same goes for SI, one copy of SI is bound to one account.
