Started the day with some crafting then saw that someone wanted a healer for RvR so I thought I'd take out the little dorf.
12 hours later at 5am we were still running around and fighting albs in one of - for me - the most exciting fights ever in a tower.
We'd managed to kill some Albs that had just broken the door down at Erasleigh Watchtower which is to the South of the main keep.
We quickly took the tower, but another caster heavy group arrived at the tower really soon afterwards.
We had a fg, but the Albs were higher RR and Onlyone was just a healing machine keeping the alb casters alive, and whenever they got their sights on one of our guys, even with THREE healers in our group, our casters would go down far too quick.
Eventually the door went down and then there was a struggle to get control of the downstairs and the stairs. Interrupts were flying everywhere, all the healers were healing constantly as the Casters zapped the crap out of eachother. People fell off the walls, and eventually got rezzed, the Albs looked to have the upperhand, then the Middies came back, then the Albs. The fight felt like it went on for about 20-30 mins, and then a couple of us jumped down and I FZ'd Onlyone to stop some of their healing power for a little, but then the albs came back to get me and Wildo. We pegged it back into the tower and somehow survived (Phase Shifted) back to the first floor, and somehow the albs were a little scattered and we pushed down the stairs and finally 1 by 1 the albs fell.
It was beautiful, and one of the very highlights of daoc playing in the 5 years or so I've been here.
Looking forward to more of the same in the next few days/months/years :>
