one for the XP/W2K boffins

im running XP Standalone nothing but me connected to my adsl line. no netowrks no servers no DHCP crap nothing just me and my solitary PC alone in a dark stench infeseid room.


How many of the XP/W2K automatically starting services can i safely switch off for ever....

like i have done to the messenger service (thnx for help btw.)

Wtf do i need this for? its starting up by default.

Is this pop ups on your windows coming up and throwing you out of daoc?

if so it's pretty simple to fix...

hmm, afaik, lots of the win2k processes don't do anything while playing DAOC... they don't use system resources at all.

thnx yes, alot dont do bugger all u r right, but they are still loaded into memory i think and that annoys me altho it shouldnt ehehe.
