Right chumps and chumpettes one of the women i work with has a son doing a photography course at college. For his biggest assignment he has been given the following topic

DISCORD

1 a: lack of agreement or harmony (as between persons, things, or ideas) b: active quarreling or conflict resulting from discord among persons or factions

Any thoughts or ideas I can throw at him as to a decent angle or if anyone knows of any famous photographers / artists who have approached the subject.

Robert Capa springs to mind; since he was just about the best war photographer ever, and took some of the most famous photos, e.g:

If I had to do that myself and get to do something quickly or locally; i'd be looking at some sort of protest, maybe outside a court or perhaps the contractor walkouts at the power stations where there is some sort of demonstration with tensions and emotions running high?
