Any of you lot getting Star Wars Galaxies? Mine should hopefully be put in the post by those wubbly people at amazon to arrive on Monday. I just wondered if anyone I could pretend to be friends with would be playing?

Oh, and the forum needs a smiley with a lightsaber :D

Secondly why didn't you pre-order it from Game and get double reward points, ya numpty ?

As much as poeple value game points it doesnt amount to a whole 10 quid difference in price.

Mine's been shipped so today or tomorrow i expect :)

Ive never liked Star Wars stuff in any form, and from what Dolly tells me there will be no fps style fighting, instead you simply look at the other geezer , if hes a level 4 and you're a level 5 you win.
I definately won't be buying it.

I've bought lots of games recently, not a single one from GAME -simply because I cant find my reward card.

As for SWG, no I wont. Not after Horus's damning report of it.

Thrody - I don't think its quite as simple as that - I've never played one of these mmorpg thingies before so I thought I'd give it a crack. You get your first months subs free, so if I don't like it I just won't renew. But tbh, the real reason I want to play (and I suspect most others too) is cos I want to run round with a lightsaber shouting "shhuuunnn - shheeeuuuunnn" :D

And Adz said, despite the oodles of rewards points game were offering, amazon were still offering it 10 quid cheaper. I even phoned game up and asked them if they'd price match, but they said no.

Mop, there's no chance in hell of you getting to use a Lightsaber in Galaxies m8, how to become a Jedi is one of the so-called ultimate goals of the game and non of the development team are willing to disclose how your character could become force sensitive.

Without bragging, I took part in the SW:G beta, jeez what a pain in the ass, I understand that certain things have been changed and others tweaked but the bottom line is still that you have wonder around, on foot for hours on end for very little reward. Oh and yeah if you get jumped on by a couple of bandits while you're wondering around you're gonna die and have to go back to that spot to collect all yer little bits and pieces, so yes you're gonna die again, so on and so forth.

Damn I'm bitter about this game.

I've been playing round me mates house this weekend - unfotunately hes created his char on FarStar. I'll have to convince him to switch servers.
