That Event NPC is SCARY! i've never seen so many lvl 50's and npc guards die so fast, that's one NASTY mob so stop training him to the bridge near prydwen keep and killing everyone embarassing seeing all those npc knights getting their arses kicked in meelee by someone in a dress

Not Funny, But I Had To Laugh (well it was funny)

was waiting on the pad to go to emain and i heard kold was in Pry Keep and everyone who was bound there kept dying over and over. One poor lad Sonicboom I counted 7 times before I ported and poor Darkday who was in my Emain group was stuck there for over 30 mins

Can someone tell me what a high level mob was doing in Pry Keep? Or was it pulled there by some fool?

Kold is not aggro, he does _not_ attack.

However, the guards seem to aggro him and when they do, he defend himself, with amongst other things a PBAoE Spell which quiet easily turn an ickle one exping near Prydwen Keep into a heap of dead flesh.

Now, the reason why he was at Prydwen Keep (and later Cotswold Bridge):

His "natural habitat" is by the Daemon Tower (aka. DF Entrance) in Camelot Hills.
He is not a roaming mob (though he has changed location at least once).
So... this means that someone has "pulled" him from his normal position and run him around.

I know this, becasue I have a fairly good idea on who it was who did it.
I _know_ one person was toying around with him on Prydwen Bridge before, getting a lot of lowlevels killed as Kold PBAoEd standing on and near the bridge.
I reckon it is the same person who dragged him to the bridge of Cotswold as well.
I sat in Camelot crafting when a lowlevel /send me asking for help, because he blocked the bridge and got people killed as the guards attacked him.
Together we pulled him away a bit and finally he started to run back to the Daemon Tower where he is now (unless some twat have pulled him away again).

Toying like this with a mob is bloody close to griefplay, as you know it will get people killed and I am itching to report the player who did it at Prydwen Bridge... Yes, I know who it was.

Secondly, Kold is _not_ a mob in the sense.
He is part of a bigger event happening and his movements (those movements made by GOA, not by silly twats), are also part of this event.
Him now being at the Daemon Tower is something I find interesting from the Event perspective, but if someone keep toying around with him like he was a pet, placing him here and there and all over, people will not have a chance to see him where he should be, thus missing out on something that _might_ be a clue as to what is happening.

So, for final words:
STOP FUCKING AROUND!

i have to admit it was me the first time, someone suggested it to me and i thought it was fun, BUT I DIDNT KNOW IT HAD PBAOE!!!! once a whole set of newbies died i thought "what have i done.."

my apologies to the newbies who died (i have to admit it was fairly funny) i was yelling "stay away from him if you dont want to be killed" but the newbies seemed to be entertained and started attacking it.

ther rest of the day i DID NOT PULL HIM even though i was around at the time.

again my apologies, i think im gonna be hated by alot of people now.

i did a 15hours daoc marathon in that area with some lowlvl alts and counted over 100 deaths @!#%@!#%@#%@#% imho its a stupid idea of GOA putting such a mob in a newbie area and he aggroes anybody my group of some 47+ got wooped without anybody touching him....

i can vouch for kladen not pulling him after the first time, because he was rezzing me and everyone else constantly after seeing what happened the first time

all i saw of him was him getting killed trying to stop kold after he repeatedly attacked (was led to) the bridge, and rezzing everyone during and after the attacks

The monstrously dimly named Aaaaaaaaaaaaa (apologies if mispelt) and his lowbie friends were attacking Kold the other day at Prydwen bridge.

Undoubtedly some lowbies will attack as they'd expect purple mobs to be killable by a good group of themselves, else they wouldn't be in starting areas. Hell for levels below 10 I think Prydwen Keep flag cons purple

But no excuses for high levels training the npc there in the first place. Way to go

Don't see why they couldn't have just made him non-attackable. Save many lowbie lives, and prevent morons from causing him to take the aformentioned lowbie lives.

btw i lost about 150g on constition because i kept releasing and coming back to kill him. (droped from 190con to 163con)

and now i only got 10g since i made 2 catapults later that day.

hey, my lowbie minstrel died there too, didnt stop it from being seriously entertaining and since kladen and others were rezzing everyone anyway...

dont care how other's feel about it, it WAS funny seeing a man in a dress whacking full plate npc armsment to death along with full plate pc paladins, armsmen, mercs, everyone! whilst armed with nothing but a stick and a pbaoe was hilarious

But seriously we could do with some more rampaging mobs to make this game a bit more fun... some controlled by the event team would be good... I played a smiliar MMPORG where a huge beast (event team controlled) flew into town made some meteorites fall on my head and teleported my friends a mile up into the sky... Its never been better than that, if only GOA would get off thier arses and get involved...
