Indeed you may be right that those people are heroes and not sad as it may appear that you were trying to do. In fact you should be congratulated on doing such a completely non sad thing yourself as working out who was on IRC at midnight and then going to great heroic lengths to not only alert people through the UBB but to also put up a webpage listing the people (some of whom I recognise as having 24/7 connections to the web so no wonder they were there..).
I salute your dedication and complete lack of sadness yourself.
who gives a fuck if ppl were on irc at midnite? if they wanna do that its up to them, some ppl had to work on news years eve, some ppl r too young to drink etc etc...
