with memory page it rocked could do so much if u could do machine/assembly.
Still got mine and it works.

Feeling nostalgic tbh.
I can actually see it from here, I feel guilty now i got a pc.

TBH in those day's the game fun it self was about as high as now
or even higher cause all was new ! , whoot sprites in the border etc
Music from youre floppy drive head !!! try that on youre uber p4 3 ghz 1gb ram thingie .
All we gained is better sound and screens , games are bigger etc but are they really better in playing fun or so much newer for game concept as those day's ? oke online role playing rocks
never seen something like elite tho , well eve comes close but still was uber game / idea. And sonic aint that diff then bomberman but let my little nephews think they got something new

Yeah he was swearing.
Didnt Thorin(the dwarf sidekick) get annoyed with you if you swore? ie. drop you if he was carrying you?

Remember piemania ? that was one strange game, u swore in that and i think you was ported back to the start of the game

They used to write great code then trying to squeeze as much as possible into the small memory they had. Quite often with a sense of humour.

I used to try break security/anti piracy code all the time, for fun not for personal gain.

Robocop was the my favourite

only the first 20 bytes made sense, the rest was gibberish. If u executed the first 20 lines the following 20 lines made sense. and so on

like reading a book which translates over and over again the rest of the book
. I got about to about page 30 and embedded in the code was a message

What are you doing? Messing with our code, you will not succeed

or similliar

think it was jetset willy 2 but i remember looking at the code thinking this makes no sense they had a jump condition which caused the game to crash every time it was loaded.(that was the game u had to enter a code from a grid in cassette inlay)
The code was a red herring. A couple of pokes later and a save to cassette and u no longer needed code to play game. It only crashed if u entered correct code.

Not a clue on the dragons n stuff. I mapped most of Valhalla, but its still a mystery what the hell you where supposed to do
