Help old medals

looking at some family stuff, and trying to find out about medals awarded. 2 main things:

-wheres the best place to look in the UK for decorations ? is there a special place that deals with it ?
-wheres the best place for foreign ones (specifically Spanish ?) have no idea where to start on this :/
