old Icons ?

Is there any chance to get the old Icons for Styles, Spells etc. back ?
Like copying an old file over the new ones ?

Gotta say everything on my quickbar looks very much the same now.

If anyone got the \Mythic\Camelot\Icons folder from 1.50 still, pretty please copy it, pack it, put it on a webspace and post a link
I want my old Icons back !

I had and have the old Icons on my other pc,
and as I liked your idea, I tried to copy/paste the old icons,

So I started daoc, waited till the password/login popup was there
and copied the files to my icon-folder

After I logged in, it was quite funny to see how my icons were crewed up

There were even some icons without a grapic on it lol.
So I think we have no other choice then using those damn ugly icons :/

Ok, got the old 1.50 Icon Bitmaps from a guildie.
You can use the old Icons with 1.52. It's just a little bit of work.

Style Icons are in the 'CombatX_b.bmp' files
Spell Icons in 'SPLX_b.bmp'

and so on.

_B is for 'Button', the Icons you'll see in the Quickbar
there's always a file were the Icons are smaller, that's what shows in the Spell-list-Tab where all your Styles/Spells are listed.

When you got the old Icon-Bitmaps, just get a Graphic program like Paint Shop Pro and copy/paste the old Icons on above the new ones.

Spell Icons have something special now, a borderline that indicates the grade of the spell
grey = lowest
yellow = 2nd highest
red = highest

After you got the icons you wanted into the new Bitmaps, rename them to something else.

Combat3_B.bmp -> Combat3_B-test.bmp or whatever

then write a batch file like that is stored in the \Icons path :

copy Combat3_B-test.bmp Combat3_B.bmp

and place a link on your desktop

When you get to the screen where you enter your password, hit the Link to the Batch-file.

When you log on now, the Icons you changed will be replaced.

But on every login you will download the new files again.

The Styles replaced here are Assault and Icestorm

but the system behind them are very nice... just gotta get used 2 the colours.

Yeah once you have gotten used to the colours they rock, since you can see what the lvl of the dot/debuff that hit you was withouth having to click it.

Well, you don't have to replace them all ... just the ones you need to spot blind

For me Skald that's Mezz/Snare ... the new Icons for those two looked pretty much the same (imo)

You can get the best of both worlds this way
