I have AMD medion 2.7 Ghz, 512mb ram, Ati Raedeon 9600+ and i run on win exp.

i play shrouded isles mainly windowed, as i like to do other things while i play daoc though i do sometimes still play daoc, i have computer on a network with a computer downstairs

AMD athlon 700mhz, 512 ram, GeForce 2ti and run on win exp.

the computer downstairs runs shrouded isles fine, not much lag (adsl) no frame rate problems etc etc. the computer upstairs runs daoc much better, i have everything maxed out 1600x1200 resolution, reflective water, full shadows etc. but for some reason the computer upstairs keeps crashing with daoc all the time and i have to restart the computer, no matter what settings i have it on. the computer also had this problem with planet side (though i stopped playing it).

if anyone knows a way to stop this crashing from happening please tell as i cannot find an answer in the daoc FAQ.

thanx, Gadd

Any errors when it crashes? Crashes to dektop? or just restarts?

Any info you can give would help.

The ATI medion at a guess is related to your gfx. Do you have the latest drivers?

I have a fairly similar problem.

PC1 - P4 2.6, 512mb, GeForce4 TI4600

PC2 - P3 800, 512mb, TNT2 Ultra

PC2 is fairly stable but a bit slow. PC1 is faster but hangs alot, particulary when porting into a border keep or SI and someone is duelling/buffing near the bindstone. Have to power off and reboot.

Been frustating me for months.

Well try latest drivers for your motherboard, GFX card, sound card - the works.

I had the same problem, Getting kicked to desktop and even the computer would just restart itself, I tried new drivers for my card and 4in1s etc, Hell i even changed back from my radion to G4.

Then i find out that it could be overheating, Since then ive had the case off the computer and a table fan blowing into it, I used to crash 5 or 6 times a session, Not 1 single crash since i took this action:clap:
