I signed up for it. Ok i'll have as much chance of becoming a beta-tester as i do winning the lottery, but there's no way i would become one if i hadn't put my name down.......

Yep, I've signed up. I was online when the email was sent. So as soon as I got it, I went straight to the site to register.
Hopefully, they will let me be a beta tester, as I make soundpacks. And it would be nice if new users could be downloading and using brand new soundpacks from the day of Tribes 2's release
If I might Hi-Jack this strand for a moment to tell you of my latest release
SemiGod's Bioderm Alpha Voice pack is now available from the download page at www.spam.cwc.net
A distinctly inhuman sounding voice that is actually my own which has been changed through several sound distorting processes. My interpretation of what a Bioderm voice will sound like in Tribes 2. Sampled at high quality. Just unzip directly to your Tribes\Base\Voices directory.
No custom script is required to use it. It is a direct replacement for the rather annoying "Male 4" voice. Since everybody has "Male 4" other players will still be able to hear a voice when you say something online.
Hear some examples by clicking these links
Click > Enemy Generator Destroyed
Click > I have the Enemy Flag, heading back to our base
Click > Incoming Enemies!
