OK, I need some hibby help

I am starting either an enchanter or eld on excal, if I could afford 2 accounts I would play Prydwen cause you guys are nice people but I have just quit my job so it is not an option and people would hit me with the old 'is he a spy?' issue.

Right now I am favouring the enchanter, I am a level50 Theurgist so I would really like a speed buff so enchanter wins there. The eld GTAE sounds real nice but PBAE is damn effective on those keep raids and mana enchanters seem to do a ton of damage. I prefer keep raids as opposed to open warfare so that would be a real plus for me. I also here you hibs PBAE group alot, after playing for 10 months I don't want to play a class that takes forever to get to 40 so I am gonna need some tips and possible spec's. Anyone help me please?

Spec:

Full mana all the way until 48, get the other specs with minidings.

Final spec:

48 Mana
23 Light
9 Enchantments

Works awesome in groups and youll have no trouble finding groups especially at 40+ because sometimes people lower than that dont know how powerful manachanters are in groups but at 40+ they always know

Either a mana Eld OR a mana chanter. Initially your chanter wil wizz through the levels and with "Little Luri Slave" you can solo very nicely for ever. I have not played a Mana specced Eld yet at lower levels so can't be 100% helpful there

Mana Eld would give you great PBAOE and GTAE.

hello m8 ..enchanter is a great class to play ,especially the pbaoe type...atm i am nearly lvl 36...havent been playing this enchanter long..my first advice is to put the first few spec points at lvl 5 into enchantments and then mana every level till 48.You need the first few points enchantments to enable your pet to take damage and give it ,without losing to much mana etc.I made the mistake by not doing this and did suffer at lower levels as you dont get the mana pbaoe till around 8 levels in mana spec line,i believe.As Teador has stated mana 48,light 23,ench 9...this is the route im taking,and think its the best damage dealing one.Others will go more in ench but personally i think its a waste especially in rvr...You can have a great UBER pet but kil the enchanter and its gone...just my opinion....stick with 3/4 greens,2/3 blues and even 2 yellows sometimes while using pbaoe (as i have while lvling) and you will get to lvl 30 quite quickly.At lvl 14/15 get into a parth farm grp for quick xp up to lvl 20.Unfortunately its quite different to normall pet classes ,where u put pet in and watch ..you will need to get on top of the mobs and bomb then..which does kill you untill you perfect it.As for having and eldritch,wow they are good but no defense,imho enchanters are more versatile.Im pretty new to this character but have been playing excal/pry since march and also on the U.S. servers so if need any advice ill try to help you..otherwise get a chanter going and welcome to hibby VAI...enchanter.. I was playing Mana eld a little (till lvl 25) and have to say that i didn't had big probs to lvl too. We don't have maybe pets, yet we have basic bolts, not too bad DDs with snare effects and of course pbaoe. In grouping, you can initialy help with Disease and str debuff (which helps fighters to deal more taunts) and then pbaoe. So it's up to you if you like to have pet or you want to be mr. nuker

Well I have got my Luri to level 5 and joined up as an Enchanter. It feels a bit underpowered atm but I have only got the basics. What I want to know now is when do I get the first PBAE and will that be good enough for lower level PBAE groups. Also I read that pumping a few into enchantments makes soloing with pet much easier on quiet days. Any info on levels 5-15 would be most helpful thanks.

And 5-15 isnt hard, just blackthorns grouped til 10, kill them solo til 14, then do parths til 18

Well I actually put some time in and got my full mana specced chanter to 18 very easily. Parths have slowed down now and that disease they cast does my head in. So where to next? I have a nice little PBAE group going now with 3 taunting tanks, bard, 2 wardens and 2 manabombs (no dr00d or menta sadly ). The group varies a little depending on who is online but that is basically it, we are all with 2 levels of each other. Now we just need some BAF nasty with lowish HP's. Any recommendation?

Not being an expert but dampwood mites are good for PBAOE exping later on, right?
What lvl are they going to be good for mass slaughter? only done them as a light eld before

Dampwood mites are about lvl 24 and there is 3 spots you can change over between to get great exp within easy running distance near Innis.

Well I agree alot with those last 2 posts, however the albion refugees are all playing these alts on Excal and we didn't make 10 manabombs as many are doing, just two of them to make a balanced but fast exp group. None of us intend to play these alts to the endgame at 50, they are alts we made to have fun and let us play BG with different classes than we usually play. Yes manachanter is flavour of the day right now but I would never play a class just because everyone else is rolling them, hell I don't have an infiltrator or cleric alt and half of the level 50 Albs do
