Oil damage.. Is this normal?

Was running fg in rvr.. Red resist buffs from druid and warden wich leaves me on 45% as the lowest magic resist.. We came to a tower wich was allready under attack and decided to help out.. As i was hitting the gate i got the oil hitting me wich i dont mind as i usually get hit for about 30-40% of my health.. But today this happened.. @ 2473HP@660AF, 45%+ magic resist..

oil hits on siege resist - so you have 0% unless yer on a ram

it's also a pbaoe, you're probably not normally right in the center.

i usuaaly get hit for about 1.5k dmg which leave me with maybe 40-50% hp left. You might just be unlucky and got hit real hard.

Once the oil it hitted me for like 28 I wuz like o_0 but than I Wuz like nvm I uber.
Point of the story is Oil is buggy, which causes people to see all different variances in dmg.

Thought perhaps oil is like elemental damage, where your uber resists do bugger all? Seen lots hit for this sort of damage by oil, and tbh I think its doing the job its supposed to do, you aint meant to be able to stand under it giving it the finger, its meant to toast your arse.

Yes he will, he just gives you some magic mushroom and voila! pain is gone.

your AF matters, if you were debuffed somehow, or you took your armor off (?), damage will increase.
