I'm having problems with .ogm

I have read around the format a little and understand how it works, but I'm having problems playing it.

Any ideas etc.? Do I need some specific stuff to get .ogc to work? How do I find out what video codec its using etc etc.

I think you need both the XViD codec and OGG Vorbis codec installed on your system and use either Windows Media Player 6.4 (comes pre-installed in c:\program files\windows media player i think) or Media Player Classic.

WMP9 doesnt seem to like to play them for some reason.

I'm almost sure of this, but please correct if im wrong. AVI by design is supposed to have a CBR audio stream. Ogg uses VBR so needs a player that doesn't assume this. BSPlayer, Media player classic, and a few others should be able to play ogm files.

The best place to start is downloading the klite codec pack (it incluses BSPlayer). You might also need a directshow update (if klite doesn't work, I'll dig out that url).
