Office XP

When I first got Office XP I had to phone up to get my activation key for it. This was a long number which I don't particularly want to have to phone up for again. Where abouts can I look to get this number so I can write it down incase I need to format and reinstall my PC?

errm the number could well change if you reformat and reinstall it has done for me before... if you change your hardware also this could happen....... can't you just activate it online?
