Odd CS problem

Another one of my m8's converted to CS!
However every time the map changes he cant get in.He has retail version all patched up to 1.3,with the same patches I have used on my pc and another.But every time the map changes he cant connect.
Anyone know what this is?
Btw he has a decent PC.

when you say he "cant get in".

Does he get an error message ?

Or just times out between map rotation ?

What size is his custom.hpk

what connection is he on ?

he is on isdn and has a p4 1.7 with a gf2 64mb. I dont know exactly what the error message is I'll find out and post later.

Actually we've been looking for a NEW THING for ages,been getting more and more bored of q2.q3 simply does not cut it,i thought RTCW may be it but funnily enough got bored quite quickly.I find it rather easy too.Much better trying a game I'm obviously shite at confused: )

Heh, that's always the way to do... feeling pain is intrinsically within one's human nature (blimey did I just write that shite!?).

Why don't you try Medal of Honour? Jobs says it's very good. Better than RTCW any day.

nah im stuck with cs for a bit now.according to clq ive played it for
38 weeks (!) but the problem is i always go to another game in between (q2 mostly) and it fucks up my aiming no end.the prediction thing on cs is like no other game i play.eg on rtcw you shoot ahead of the player to hit him.i do that np,cos its like all id games.but then when i come back to cs... you guessed it im still doing it.
soooo,its cs only for a bit and see how we go

You can turn of weaps prediction... Infact, i beleave alot of people recommend turning it off if you have a good connection.

cl_cl 0 <--- i think that's wrong, but i deleted HL 2weeks ago, so i dunno :/
