Have they got rid of order tracking on the website? I ordered something Friday night and got shipment confirmation on Saturday morning. It's supposed to be coming by courier, but the consignment number they gave me doesn't work on the internet checking thing (Amtrak's) so I phoned Amtrak and they've not got in on their system. I realise it was a bank holiday but surely the stuff would have got to Amtrak on Saturday?

I'm confused. I should have used normal mail.

Might be wrong but I don't think most couriers work on Saturday unless they have some special high cost service.

I find it remarkable how an industry can be so utterly piss poor at practicing their trade. In future I'm only gonna order stuff which uses royal mail, otherwise I'll go and buy it from a store.

Gumbo has had loads of problems with Amtrak too. They did actually deliver 2 days after the ETA for me, which isn't too bad, but that was only because I had phoned up the depot and got them to mark explicit delivery instructions on the box.

Chances are you'll at least have to pick it up from the depot.... if it ever gets there

Bah, it's only a fucking mouse and mousemat. I went to PC World to buy it and it was £20 cheaper on ocuk so I ordered it there. Fucking ridiculous

Not going to be able to pick it up from the depot either because they're bound to only be open from 9-5 and my parents are at work and I can't drive. Fuckers.

Not that this is of much use, but ...

Firstly, I've used OcUK many times and although I've always received my stuff very promptly, the order-tracking codes given have rarely ever worked, even though my stuff arrives as expected. Quite why this is, I simply do not know. Sometimes going to the courier's website and using their tracking facility works, other times it doesn't.

Secondly, just picking up on .Cask's point, couriers usually charge more to deliver on Saturdays, hence you'd probably have an individual option on ordering if you wanted such a service.

Not helpful, I know, but just for reference

I can't find the order tracking facility on the OcUK website so I've not been able to check if it's actually been dispatched. As for the courier website, I've tired the Amtrak website and the consignment number doesn't work, I phoned them up and it didn't work either. I'm just quite confused as to where it's got to.

TBH Mank if you don't get it by Thursday then worry, most order tracking systems don't work well because they are often too slow with regards to getting information updates.

Cheers Emb, looks like I'm not going out tomorrow and possibly Thursday then. I chose courier for next day though, £8.50.. what a fucking ripoff :/
