Oakman OTD (eld staff)

Supposedly a named guy called the oakman will appear now and then among the grooves outside DC, and i f you happen to be a 44 eldritch he's even rumoured to drop a nice staff..

Anyone know if this is implemented in 1.45? I've killed my share of groves around 30 or so, and I cant recall an oakman ever popping..

If it really is implemented then some info on when he has appeared, what he cons like etc would be nice

I have only heard of him poping twice since release

Yes, he does pop and he drops all versions staffs too. Eld/Chant/Ment, +38 to all and some +int I believe. If you really want a nice staff you're better of with a staff dropped by the Siabra Archmagi. +44 to all and int+10 and colored black too.

He looks like a irewood sapling (one of those small irewoods) and he cons yellow at 42. He's indeed very rare but he does spawn once in a while.

Goodluck camping him and look out for enemy stealthers at the popular OTD spawns

He drops only Eld/Enchanter staff's. Killed him as a lvl 50 Mentalist, and got a fecking chanter staff

I've camped it for sooooo long now and gave up. Trying to get mi hands on one of the Archmagi Staffs now but they only drop mentalist + chanter staffs while im grouped.

killed him today, but didnt get no drop, so must be one of them mages only drops i suppose

Hmm i could really use a Archmagic menta staff.

I have been told that oak man has been killed at least twice last week, so not quite as rare as that, but i have never seen him.

And When I am at Siabs, I only see Enchanter / Eld staffs, luckily someone was kind enough to save me a Mentalist staff (dropped when no mentalists were there, naturally).

Unfortunately it's light purple, not black, but I think I can live with that

Ok i doubt i'll have what it takes to camp that site for ages, so i guess i'll try to get either the archmagi or warshade staff then..

Hmm..ok everybody talking about how super-often they see those enchanter staves drop, anyone have one spare for me ?
