nvRefreshFix thingie.

Since I installed the latest nVidia drivers on my Gigabyte GF3 (28.13 or something, off the nVidia site) the refresh rate fix tool has stopped working. I reinstalled it but it still refuses to accept my GeForce3 as a valid selection. Any ideas ?

(P.S. Apart from the eye-strain it doesn't look too bad at 60Hz in DaOC but fire up an FPS and it's ugh-city )

Hrm, did you try completely removing it and then reinstalling?

erm, with new drivers the tool no longer works its unsupported and free!

For now anyway until a new version is released

Just install old ones and wait

ive found that using that nvrefix thing seems to limit my fps to my refresh rate. any ideas?

But FPS games look awful in 60Hz. Move that mouse and the screen goes blocky

If ure fps=refresh, u have vsync on, as an option in ure video settings, or a game option. Anything sub 27.50 should work with the refresh rate fixes.

There is hope...
This was bugging me just the other day and I found a program that fixed my refresh rates to max possible (1600x1200 at 75Hz is nice on 19 inches of lub).

Anyway, I installed the program, it worked it magic and I rebooted and now the pc is fine and DAOC works too. Only trouble is, I think I ran it direct from the download so I don't have a copy of the file saved anywhere and can't remember exactly how I found it. Erm...but if I find it again I'll come back and tell you. Honest guv.

It's called nvtuner and I've not played with it at all so I don't know how good it is at other stuff, I just wanted a refresh rate fix. Works fine in XP too.
