NURF Tanglers NOW

I am so fed up with level 50's powerlevelling their mates down at tanglers every single bloody night. There are level 50 Theurgs and level 50 Cabalists almost 24/7 camping them.

THERE are REAL Groups WHO ACTUALLY Want to XP on them you selfish B£"*&ds. And if youre friends could be arsed to actually find a group rather than either use youre a/c or get you to slave for them all night then this realm would be a better place.

DF is unreliable and me and my pals try to move about a bit but tanglers are lovely xp and their nurf couldnt come soon enough cause a nice full group of people who want to play properly will be able to handle them, where as you PL slaves will sadly have to actually go defend our realm and then maybe we would have df more (duh).

If you want to power level friends then come on when no one is on BUT FFS 3/5 Cabbies or Perhaps occasionally 1 sorcerer camping all tangler camps takes the fing piss to be frank and it gets right up my nose how flaming selfish you all bloody are.......

And then complaining when a real group shows up to try to have real fun........................

I have no problem if you want to pl a mate somewhere quiet, thats absolutely fine but the game is ruined when real groups try to form and take on popular spots.........

Heck heres a good idea lets all find a cabbie level 50 or a theurg and get them to power level us in turn what fun that is... woo hoo

And by the way the xp in a good group is much better than any pl you could ever give someone and its more fun. Thats if youre so called friends who get you to slave for them can actually be arsed to make any friends outside of the guild.

Its not just a problem affecting tanglers - try levelling a lower level char round near the grove nymphs, broken bridge of giants on sals plains

even boulderlings, Sprigarn waylayers, Zombiesow, bandits, riverracers, tombraiders, legionaries, Keltoi, catacomb, dartmoor...

No it isnt

There are cabalist's from level 46 - 49 that exp there because it is great exp (.1 / .2 per pull at 49 solo) they dont need a group to hunt at that spot, they can do it solo.

Sure there are level 50's powering alts, you just have to beat them to the spot before the start power leveling (easier said than done)

good luck finding a group willing to xp there after the nerf...
way harder but still same xp, only that you'll need more ppl, so the xp will be lower, the pulls slower the downtime greater...

What a waste of group bonus

Oh, and as for XP, Id like to see a group of 8 get .2 per pull with 0 downtime, and about 25g each per pull.

My boyfriend gets utterly pissed off about me moaning about some of these selfish twats. All previous joking apart, it is not the Cabalist class that s the problem, its some of the idiots playing htem now.

When I was levelling, the cabalists about were basically me, ziera, kaitlyn, diseased & nitz

Yes we did small groups, and once able, solo tanglers, but I do know that we made sure we were considerate.

I personally left a tangler spot if I saw a group looking for a camp, unless I was with a couple of other people in a group.
The same can be said with dunters, once theyre mainly green, a cabalist can put sapphire in a dunter spawn on stay/aggro and he will kill without the cabby doing anything apart from a buff now and then. I used to do this but ONLY if noone of a lower level was trying to XP there.

You do have to remember though that a spawn does NOT automatically belong to a group, JUST because THEY need the xp. If another persons using a camp spot, go kill other mobs.
You CAN level in places other than tanglers OK it may not be as fast, but its still a LOT more fun than goblins 24/7.

All PLAYERS (class has nothing to do with it) should be considerate. I had scouts pulling tangler camps solo as I was about to pull, just so they could kill 1 or 2 of a 30 mob pulll, for the group bonus, but I dont call all scouts twats (probably because theres no scouts left )

It is annoying to be XPing somewhere, only to see someone - or a group - just rush in and wipe the area. Unless they actually killsteal, theres not actually anything "wrong" being done. It may be inconsiderate, and bloody annoying, but it isn't anything against the rules.
It was once stated that the official line is - until combat is initiated, a mob doesnt "belong" to anyone. So, as far as the rules go, you are quite qithin your rights to pull form s camp someone else is pulling from, as long as you dont hit the mobs they have pulled.

However, we need to encourage players to stick the the unofficial rules of not camp stealing, WHATEVER your class. The flip side is, that you also need to remember as long as the mobd aren't grey, one person pulling, or eight, theres NO difference, they are as entitled to pull as you.

You dont have to be clever to know who they are cos a purple char dragging a grey round is definitley someone who is paying mythic twice (or more).


It's pathetic and sad cos in my opinion how can u p level a char and use it effectively in rvr when u have little idea of what it's capable of.

I have 4 X level 50 chars on alb and NONE were P leveled. I only have 1 account so I have learned each char carefully and I rock

Right, so from what you're saying you are a player xping thru tanglers and are getting pissed off when ppl are soloing them and you aren't getting any xp until they're not there...

I'm guessin you're grouped and around 40ish. Now, with all that in hand read the topic - "NURF Tanglers NOW".....

You won't have to wait long until you get your ever so wanted nerf which prevents ppl soloing them so easy, but just makes your life hell too.

PLing is one thing.

But I think a lot of people who haven't played them don't realise that for some classes (cabbies & sorcs in particular), the most efficient way to solo isn't to take on single yellow/orange/red, but to take groups of blue/green con mobs from a fast spawning area because they have the tools to do that quickly.

Obviously those blue/green cons are purple optimal xp cons to some lower level full group. So I think the lower level people just need to try to be cool about it. Yes, it can be annoying when some cabalist's pet has eaten the whole nymph grove/wight room/ tangler spawn your group was hoping to hunt at, but that just means it is time to move on and find somewhere else -- there are tons of places to hunt in Lyonesse anyway.

Agreed the camping of tangs is very depressing....especially when the tight twats won`t let me in a grp will an extra hour of xping be such a great burden when its for the greater good of the realm i ask?

i hope you realise that by having the tanglers nurfed, all the other pygmy goblins will be also, making it much harder to level from 30-40 as that's probably the main place for those levels, and now you will also have to be 45+ (at a guess) for tanglers anyway....
any even the people powerlevelling there will just get a lvl 50 wizzy friend to just AE em, to finish off the dmg the DoT should've done

But I have been at tangs when it's also taken by the 3 man tang p leveler's who use pets and pull from both aqua and trees, this often will a leave a full group of 8 with NOTHING to pull.

I politely asked one member of such a group to please only pull from one camp or the other and he laughed at me .... my group had nothing to pull and therefore disbanded and fell apart

But i did have the last laugh cos when I went to emain and one of those 3 were there shouting about what we should do, he obviously didn't have a clue the idiot had a level 50 and he didn't know what to do with it in emain

here's a thought, why dont we get all the lvl 45+ cabas down to tanglers and make them block our Xpline completely, then we can more whines about u getting owned at Emain, while we sould outnumber them by 200+ if we didn't get leeched/half pulls, so if u need cash go somewhere else, this place is for lvling imo.

Thats fine if you are already set up at the spot , u have a right to be there but the biggest issue is these selfish wankers who pile in and start pulling from the spot a group has been quite happily xping to find their xp rate decimated by sorcs/cabs. You should also stick to one area also . Pulling from the aquaduct then from the tree is pure selfishness in my eyes.

Sorcerers don’t decimate the xp. I would prefer to pull from the aqua as gobbos come in nice groups of 10.
If I’m forced to pull from the trees I can pull once every 5 mins tops. 20-25 gobbos takes a full power bar and MCL.
