Number of players on Excal

Go to daoc-europe.com and check the statistics for all English servers last 7 months.....look at the giant fall in player-numbers on Excal (and Prydwen) last month....is it the summer? Was it the old server? Is it SWG? Numbers are back down to the "before SI"-area

When I left game I saw a big rush of people, both before and after me, also leaving game. I think a total of about 17 of the more well known people left in the same month. It seems like a lot but tbh, I seriously doubt if there will ever be a final day of DAoC in the up coming years. People are recycled, for each of us that leaves another will buy the game and replace us, it's how it's ment to be.

I'm coming back after RL, Planetside, and other mmorpgs tested. DAoC is still the best on the market atm, by far.

I'd say it's the summer... In our guild alone there are several die-hards that managed to take a little summer break or something close to it

Well even tho some leave DAoC or take a summer breake... It seems like its harder to quit BW, mayB someone should look into the fact that some ppl are actually adicted to whining or commenting on things thay chose to be without...

It kinda makes me sad that some ppl post on the DAoC forums even tho thay clearly have no intension of ever comming back...

How was it last summer?
As I recall it the numbers increased a lot when the summer hit in, and last summer was very sunny. At least in northern europe.
The explanation for the increase was at that time that people had vacation and were able to play games like these.
Then again it was the first summer after release where people had the opportunity to powerplay the game, getting they alt to lvl 50 etc.

Shows a great deal about the people who play this game, we put up with the bugs and whining, still a lot of people play though, true its because there is nothing around at the moment like DAOC but when one does arrive i dont think DAOC will last that long but as they say all good things come to an end
