www.nukezone.nu - Anyone here played this?

It's a text-based strategy-type war game where you have to maintain your own province and battle against others. Best thing is that since it's text-based, it's perfectly work/college friendly, if you're ever bored while sitting at a PC.
Most of my class are hooked on it now (we even have our own clan ), and play it during most lessons.

'twould be cool to see BW have a clan or two, if anyone's interested that is .

It needs a bit of thought but I was up and running within a few days. You can carry on growing for ages though

havent read a thing and I've already ordered:

13 longbow apaches

8 heavy artillery

15 rifle infantry

and researched:

10 engineer effectiveness
25 market discount
52 money production
26 power plant efficiency

and built:

12 research labs
4 shipyards
9 airfields
3 war factorys
1 barracks
15 power plants

and I've also searched out some more land. so wtf is this game about? general gist if you would be so kind?

Heheh, Munkey's getting the knack already (btw, sent you an invite )

Basically, there are around 16000 players or something like that, and each has their own 'province' - you use money and 'turns' to either build up your defences, research into sciences (which make you better at stuff), and of course, attack other provinces. The more stuff you own, the higher your 'networth', which is what provinces are ranked by. The main aim is to get the highest possible networth by the end of the round (this current round started back in March and ends at the end of June), but that's hardly the sole purpose of playing, when you take in mind the amount of people who take part.

The main sources of attack are 'veichles' and 'units' (including infantry, air units and sea units) and for defence you use buildings. When all your buildings get destroyed by an attacker, your networth plummets to $0 and you die (only for a few days mind).

There are many variations to the way you can attack/defend too, such as satellites, nuclear missles, thieves, spies, missile defence systems, perimeter walls and so on; very in-depth. There are also clan wars, where clans gain points for the amount of successful attacks made by each member upon rival clans.

It all takes a few days learning what everything does (rtfm helps ) but it's worth it in the end.
