I can only imagine that the game was designed to run with a 3DFX card using Glide.

i do have a 'glide2x.dll' file in windows dir.

everything I read about it screams 3DFX. I don't know if you can get it to run on a non-glide gfx card. sorry, can't help you much further.

why not try using a glide wrapper. do an search for it im sure yer will find one. its geforce based card then it may be worth tracking down the one creative labs made when the first geforce cards got released

What graphics card are you using gw_deathscythe?

For a start, Nuclear Strike will run in Direct3D, which doesn't need glide2x.dll, or a 3DFX card.

If you have a 3DFX card, they have problems running on Windows XP. Make sure the glide2x.dll is in the windows\system folder (not the system32 folder). If it's already in the main Windows or system32 folder, copy it to the system folder (don't delete the original). :)

right ok thx guys ive solved the graphics problem by download'n a wrapper but winxp keeps bring'n up with an error report.
ive tried right clicking on nukepc.exe and then properties and tried diferent combinations with the compatability options like 'win95' but it reads a memory problem ?!?!?!?!?

any sugestions guys????
at the mo my only option is to partition my HD and put win98 in the 2nd partition.

I don't think that Win98 is your solution.

If you have a Geforce2, then you're not supposed to have a glide2x.dll file at all. I strongly suggest you delete it in all Windows folders where it's located, as the file's mere presence on your HD can confuse certain programs that you have a 3DFX card installed.

If there is a configuration program for Nuclear Strike, run it and make sure that your graphics mode is set to Direct3D, OpenGL or software rendering.

i tried moving all the glide2x.dll files to a seperate folder but still know luck Ulysses777.

nope still no luck but thx anyway old.super fly.

on the nukestrike config test it says that i have direct x 2 (which i actually have direct x 9) and wont detect glide or 3dfx drivers (i can understand that as i have geforce 2) but still the min requirements dont need that shit !!!!!

i may need to get rid of dx9 and put dx7 or somthin on but deleting the dx drivers on xp is impossible........ any idea's ???

Just wondering, does this config program have a 3D acceleration option? Because it may only support 3DFX accelerators. You may need to turn 3D acceleration off (if possible).

make a screenshot of the window in question with something like paintshop.
use said paintshop to save the image as a jpg file.
upload said jpg image to whatever webspace you have / your ISP has given you.
post the url here.
