I've just longfully stuck my postcode in the box on the availability page on ntl's website .. and it says i can get broadband ! yay !

One thing .. i didn't think the village i live in was actually cabled .. although the cable goes along a main road a hundred metres or so from my house ...

Is it likely to be the website gone mad ? or could it mean that they're about to move in the 'dozers ? or that they've taken delivery of some very long cables ? :)

I'll give em a ring one monday, but i'm impatient .. so .. got any ideas anyone ??

You'll deffo need to check with them before getting your hopes up. My bro put his post code in, and it said he could have access, but when he tried to sort it, they said he was too far from the exchange/UBR ;(

Word of warning with NTL - although their cable service is the muts nuts, if you try and talk to their 'customer support' you're in for an experience ! I've had to contact them on a few occasions, and very time it has been an absolute and utter nightmare - takes literally hours to get through and then they transfer you numerous times to people who don't know what day it is !

Good luck though m8 ;)

I agree their support is not worth a penny but then that's not what I'm paying for. If you're the slightest bit technically minded you can generally sort out the problems yourself. If not it's better to ask a friend than waste your time with their support.

Other than that the service is FANTASTIC! Best investment I've ever made.

I checked the blueyonder website once, to see if I was available for cable. It said no. This was after I had cable installed.
