Two Questions:

1. I'm finally about to realise my dream and get NTL Broadband which option is better for gaming:
a) External USB Cable Modem;
b) Internal Network Card;
c) It doesn't matter.
I lean towards a for the ease of installation and upgrade plus like my external modem I like to see it, but if there's a performance/reliability boost with the card please let me know. What are you using? how is it?

2. A friend has recently got NTL Broadband with ext. USB modem and everytime after 10 mins playing Unreal Tourney they get the disconnect symbol which won't go away. They then have to reboot to recycle the internet connection as they can't seem to do this with the software. Anyone else got this problem? Anyone got any ideas wassup?

Any answers to either of the above greatly appretitated.

Your best option what be to have a network card (netgear cards are good) and connect you cable modem to that...

It increases performance greatly.

USB: 1-2MBps (rough guess)
RJ45 (network cable): 10MB - 100MB (but cable modem limits to 10MB)

USB is just a slightly cheaper and quick wa to set it up...

I'd go with the network card option.... it is what i use and it works fine..

Only thing you have to worry about is NTL f00king up :D
