NT4 ftp snap-in

Our server at work is running NT4 SP6 etc.

In ISM i have the default website, mail server etc running but if i go to add a new FTP site it says "the service is not installed on this machine"

That all makes sense but i'll be buggered if i can find how to install the bastrd ftp service. Ive searched the web and microsoft site but can't find any help on it which seems strange. Clearly im looking for the wrong thing.

can anyone help?

um it should have installed automagically. open a command-prompt and type net start msftpsvc. dunno if it will work but it might give you some info

yeah, it should of but it wasn't. Any ideas how i can install it?

The FTP Service in NT is usually installed as part of the NT4 Option pack which include Web/Ftp/smtp to name but a few things. So you need to use that CD that came with NT to install it. Or find somewhere to download it from (it may be no MS site not sure).
