Tonight at 2am GMT the first client side patch for Natural-Selection is released, Version 2.0 :bazbeer:

The server patch was last night and the servers are updated (Subs only and preview). Natural-Selection.org is the official site and has lots of info and links to many other sites with even more information.
As mentioned in the Community newsletter. Game.net have the gamepley video which you can get here. We will have the FTP earlyish tomorrow morning and then i will be on tomorrow evening on the preview server to see how much i can get eaten.

Anyways this is a big step for Natural-Selection. If you have played NS before, no matter what you're feelings of it were expect them to get changed. Also a perfect opportunity for those who haven't played to get into a very popular, fast-paced and exciting mod which will change what you thought of HL mods.

Hope to see you all at some point tomorrow.

I played a few games, got to say its a well made mod. It does rely heavily on teamwork and good commanders though, and that appears to be its downfall on most publics.

I am going to keep playing it though, had fun trying to kill huge aliens with three other marines, then running like hell when my ammo ran out.

We managed to fill up the preview server with just three people idling in it :)

Was a good game, the aliens got whacked though, more experienced players on the marine team. Still a good luagh.

If I knew what the hell I was doing maybe it would be ok. Plus the abuse you get off people when you ask, think i'll stick to yahoo pool.

bah you been playing on BY or Jolt servers m8. Stick to the Game.net ones and any abuse gets a severe munting :p

Plus if you have probs im normaly around either in server or on IRC to help out.

I played on a BY one without hassel, they told me quite a bit of stuff. I actually learnt a lot on the GAME.net server yesterday though, and it felt more like a team game. Come join us there jis.

I was just looking on the "What's On" page and I cant see a community night / day for the mod?

Whats the crack or am I blind.

There was one but i buggered off on holiday for a month so it stopped :D Ill restart it if theres demand, but im off again on the 8th for 2 weeks.

If you're gonna do another com night Deadman, you considered doing it on the preview?... if that auto-kick thing is working I mean.

Worked wonders for the TFC nights.

It can hold 4 nades at a time, and takes ages to reload. Makes it intresting if you dont manage to finish off the enemy in 4 shots :)
