NS Spec question

so, ben thinking of going blade's again

any prefered spec?? was thinking of trying something like:

50+16 CD 34+16 Blade's 34+16 envenom 34+16 stealth ..... ?

any reason's i should'nt??

i know this ain't normal spec on NS's, co's most people like's the CS PA-chain

but i think a fight is won too easy with it, first to PA win's tbh

if it's a shitty spec i suggested above, tell me why and what i could spec instead please

CS styles have higher growth rates,, its not just about the PA chain.

dps wise its a fairly decent given that 1 CS is approx equal to 2 CD.

ye and cd got more offhand hits + more haste effect if you use a proper weapon combo.

cd/cs have pretty much the same dps, but you dont have anytime haste debuff in CD, only when you evade you can apply it. or do some strafing and land supernova for velly strong debuff

in the end it doesnt rly matter what you pick, but overall i think CS is a bit better. CD is nice to try though

and man, when are you going to learn to stop typing that fucking ' ? its reasons, not reason's.

oh, and btw, i calculated the different lines for many hours, unless things dramatically changed they're still correct.

From what ive seen testing in practice and from calcs from theory, the extra offhand swings that come from a hi CD spec together with the extra dual swing haste as a result (note though not many blade users make much use of fast offhands) doesnt nearly make up for the higher growth rate from CS styles.

I could live with not having the CS stealth openers, its the anytime, hammy chain and pincer growth rates id miss. The only really decent growth rate style in CD is supernova but like ripper u cant get effective dmg out of it wyrding cause it takes its skill calc from ur weapon spec.

Ziz mentions going pierce lws with hi CD to make use of the the hi offhand swing to increase ur debuff chance.

One good thing about hi CD for shade is that if ur fairly hi RR u can quite comfortably wyrd both blade and pierce and stil get 50 CD and mod 50 env and stealth.

Tbh though just roll a ranger if ur really tempted

Edit: 1 thing that could help make a 50 CD spec more attractive is not only a dual LW temp (or some temp which allows switching so both main and offhand dmg types are good against the target and/or debuff for each other) but also constant access to a dmg add buff.

spec like 50+cap CS, 34+16 stealth, 35+16 blade's 34+16 envenom rest CD?

Edited: btw, my weaponchoice was Malice+battler, and a switch with GS, or heat/cold leggy ;p

id go CS whein i had a NS blades specc. CD wount give you the same dmg as CS styles would... well thats what im thinking at least

only spec 50 envenom if you plan on using viper tbh...dropping it to 47 for last str/con and using the xtra points to bump CD up is a good idea.

i personally use

48+16 CS
30+16 CD
31+16 Env.
34+16 Pierce (swap for blades etc)
34+16 Stealth.

works v. well for me.

Well i dunno about rr6 spec but @ rr7 with 54 autotrain points im going on my nightshade.

44+17 Critical strike
34+17 Blades
34+10 Celtic dual<Only +4 cd on template :< >

33+17 Stealth

Imo with 44 cs u have pretty much capped cs damage as ive been trolling alot of stealther forums and most say 50 is a waste and id tend to agree as i prefer drawn out fights anyway.

Also with 34+10 cd u have effective 44 cd which means that u are gonna hit with offhand 50%+ of the time from what ive been told anyway .

I think this spec is the best of both worlds

more CS is never awaste, even over 50, it increases yor style dmg.

when i talk about CS being higher dps than CD, im inclusing offhand hits..only thing that isnt so measurable is proc rates, which obviously when using dual heaters, higher CD benefits.

download the dps calc. and fiddle with specs if they wish to asses dps. its pretty accurate.
