NS 1.85 temp -- POST OPINION!

ok including the new 1.85 armour bonuses i came up with a temp like this

anythin anyone wud try to change? sacrifice what to improve what?

2 things, more hits and i would love env so just 1 swap :p

yea i tried to get the just 1 envenom swap, but two is no big deal as it will take about 1.5 secs instead of 1 sec to swap em in and out.. but no doubt ima keep trying

and more hits? :S i was happy with 324! :p i see many temps with 200. but yes, its not a prob getting +80 hits in there its finding the +80 hits cap >.<

Thats a template to be proud of windy.

Are you incorporating the Embroidered and enscorcelled Spellcrafting patch? Also list items and sc details would be rather cool :)

if by embroidered and ensorcelled u mean the one with the 5th SC slot then yes :)

Too much emphasis on unnessecary resists and hits are too low for my liking


Drop 5% Matter/Cold/Energy and get 50 more hp and u will be onto a winner :D

Besides that looks very solid ;)

Here's my plan for 1.85 (copy/pasted it from TD guild forums with all my ramblings included):

Figured I'd try to make an uber NS template for 1.85 with expensive items and easily switchable weapons. Normal weapons are Malice MH/CW OH, but weapon choice is kinda free as you will lose only 40 hits and 5 con when you switch Malice. Without weapons str is 82 and str cap +17, which is kinda nice.

Resists with Malice/CW are a bit vulnerable, but I've planned to move with leggies when stealthed, stats with both leggies equipped are in parenthesis, note that I still have high str, con and hits with leggies out, and the resists are considerably higher. I can for example choose to swap Malice to spirit/matter mainhand when fighting sun weapon hunter, and gain higher energy resist, or keep spirit/matter/heater offhand equipped instead of CW when I know I will be in threat of being targeted with spirit/matter leggies.

What do you think?

Actually the new armor bonuses don't affect my temp that much :)

Leather being more strong against heat is the reason I left heat uncapped and concentrated more melee resists and body (viper).

my only quibble is the overcapping of the str by 8 and the con by 11 to 16 and the hits by 4 to 44 and the drop of resists..but it looks nice still

having malice mainhand will make you cry a little if you swap it out. You lose 40hpcap and concap and most importantly of all, the charge :E

Tho as a hib i doubt you'll swap it out much :p

Tho i dont get your con comment. Swapping out a weapon with 15con on it (malice) will lose you 15con worth of hp, regardless of whether what ur putting back in has con on it or not.

Dcent hp, solid resists, good skills, good bonuses, looks good.

Its good that you have som and rod in there too :)

BC is 100% right about losing 15 con when swapping out malice ... but its only 50hp or so (Small loss for increased chance for Malice to proc imo) and if u are swapping out weapons u should only swap mainhand tbh as its more likely to hit and swapping out 2 weps is headwreaking :p

What if I have 100 con in template and +15 con cap with Malice equipped. Thus I will have 90 effective con with Malice. When I take Malice off or switch it, will I lose only 5 con, as my effective con will only drop to 85? Or will it take the 15 con I lose from Malice off my effective con, and regen the hits back to the new effective value?

What BC is trying to say is that ... when u remove an item that gives u +baseline hits/con(not only overcap) and replace it with one that doesnt fill the cap u had with the 1st weapon/item .... and switch back ... u effectively lose the hp/con difference between the two setups ;)

For instance ... when i re-env on my shade i remove my gov for a 99% +7 env leather piece ... when u switch back to gov after i lose 40hp ... same thing when i swap out my battler 3rd weapon for my malice in mainhand slot :D

Hope this clears things up ^^

so if i swapped malice 15 str 15 con 40 hits for a legendary weap 16 str 16 con 40 hits... would i lose hits?

if you had say 90con. And u took off malice it would drop to 75con. Putting on another weapon increases your total con to 90. But doesn't give you that hp. You will have to regen that now.

This is why con LW's were so gay back in the day. If you ran with 75con on your sc but had a 28con lw in your mainhand and still wanted to swap you needed 103con on your sc :( Same issue applies to items with hp and also items with stealth on while ur stealthed.

being dumb i think, but it could open possibilites...

if you stealth with 50stealth effective, then take an item off your stealth drops. So take off a +5 item and you have 45 effective stealth. Put it back on and you still have 45 effective stealth. Need to unstealth and restealth to get the 50 back
