now webcam is knackerd

ok so i goto use my webcam last night to take a few photos and i get this message "Web cam is in use by another application" so i close every application thats possible in Task Manager, open the program again and have the same message, but there is no program open so what is using the camera?! the camera is made by DEXXA but they dont exist anymore and the drivers are made by logitech.

Have you tried rebooting? That will often close down the app that hasn't released the camera

ive rebooted ump-teen times, it just says the same thing every time

What have you got running at start-up?

And try Add/Remove Hardware, totally uninstall the cam and start again.

thanks for helping but i did that too, uninstalled it in safe mode then installed it normally, no luck still, i close everything i can in task manager when i open cam software but it still says its being used by something else.

after doing some tests, i have it wittled down to - the camera is physically fucked. tryed it in another comp, did a format and installed it straight after windows and also closed all programs before using. anyone agree?
