hmmm, lately ive been seeing the camlann population on the rise, about 2 months back the population was about 400/500 normally now ive been seeing the population creeping up to around 800/900,

could this mean a possible revival of the server?

well I think it is this:

people get a bit bored of daoc and the rvr+exp'ing hassle.
So, before they leave daoc, they might want to give the pvp server a try.

thats it imo, and I like pvp

I made a cute little toon on PvP server, quite enjoyed it at first as well... But with all good things they come to an end

1. Innocently XPing, suddenly along comes Mr leet-red con supp BD *BZZZT!* i drop, i go back to xp spot 5mins later *BZZZZT!!!!*, repeat 6-7 more times untill i log in discust.

2. Get attacked by a yellow con skald, i manage to root him and start to apply my own special brand of PBAE ass-kicking on him. Next thing i know i'm suddenly 1-shotted by a purple con. Oh, lets not forget that the yellow con guy then decided to log in his lvl what-ever and pester me for half an hour (killing my mobs, which conned grey. Hence no XP, etc, etc)

3. Go to Hib-land to get away from leet middy classes, i set out from the gates of TNN and see 2 purple cons sitting. I figure i conned grey so i decided i'd just ignore them

I mean that was nothing short of grief playing, they'd even binded at the stone near-by so when a group eventaully came along and kicked their ass they just /relled and came back to start over!!!

I can understand the basis of PvP and i can understand its not for everyone, but i seriously think some people need to sort their shit out on that server.

So you'l excuse me if i 'Fuck off back to my care-bear server'


Sorry, i'm sure Camm is a great server really. Just i didn't really enjoy the 2-3 days i spent playing there.

My experience of the place was on a 16 friar, I'd help people, with rezzing etc.

For example:

xxx: "Can you rez me please please??"

me: " sure where?"

xxx: "here at loc xxk xxk"

me: "hangon I'm coming"

rez sick time passes, and they come hunt me down.

Not my idea of a fun time.

Don't be so negative.... stay in places where it aint a lot of people. More or less whole Midgard is a safe place. If you go back 7 times to a place where you know a griefer is lurking, you are just stupid imo.

I played around 12 hours today, on my level 12 Ranger, and the only time I were griefkilled were outside Muirne Tomb by a purp con skald. Maybe you just had bad luck, or it was me who were very lucky. But I say, use your brain a little and you will find it easy to find a safe area.

to survive on pvp server is a technique =)

To have fun there is harder to work, but you can get a hang of it.

To earn cash there, impossible! (but i manage atm!)

Still, the "splat" tards are always free rps for some level 50 (they never speak english, and they NEVER know how to twink themselves, get a requi or another nice english speaking level 50 too whoop them for ya)

And, i started here for the reason mentioned over, exal got darn boring case of the mindless rvring and zergs, so i quitted totaly there, and play here until i get bored, then im out of daoc for good. Last desperate grip sorta, and enjoying it for now.
