I usually dont like and dont partecipate this kind of discussions.
They are usally childish and a bit pointless.

Was an hard fight, fierce hibs defending, brave mids assaulting... is a war after all, and this way it must be.

I tbh dont really know if the thing we are discussing about is just an overpowered RA use or simply a bug abuse.

I only know that being hit by a bow inside a tower, under 2-3 roofs, far from any windows for 1.500 more and more times is, in my very humble opinion, not fair and not fun.

But, anyway, where is written that this must be a fair world?

If this is a feature: please Mythic fix it.
If this is a bug: please people stop abusing it.

Before you throw pretty words like 'cheator-haxor' etc around dear topic poster, you should educate yourself on what is considered a cheat, in daoc.

Not gonna go throught this again, but to simply say, if volley is not intended to be used to literally pierce walls, then it is a bug, and someone using volley to shoot into certain areas of a keep, is a bug abuser, not a cheater or a hacker.

1. Volleying and otherwise gtae'ing targets that are in "cover" is not considered a bug exploit today. This has been stated. But:
2. In 'New Frontiers' this problem will be fixed, i.e, it will not be possible to hurt someone through a wall or a roof etc. If you still manage to find a spot where you can do it at that time then i would imagine it will be an exploit.

it isnt a bug, it was designed to go through everything, probably with the new keeps it might be a bigger problem (as once door 1 is down you have less space to move between so getting hit by a gt is easier). However volley atm is supposed to go through roofs and walls, so it isnt a bug and it isnt a cheat/hack.
Volley will get changed in frontiers where it wont go through roofs and the range will be shorter, but then again it isnt a RA anymore aswell.

This is the way it has been since they implemented Volley, there isn't a thing called cheat, abuse or whatever u call it. Live with it as it's working as intended. Every archerclass can get it and it's up to anyone who specc it when and where they will use it. I love my Volley and I'll use it where ever it suits me coming out on the upper hand. The tricky part is to get the groundtarget at the right spot, not everyone have tho knowledge how to set a good GT. I've used GT with my RM since almost 2 years back so when i rolled me a hunter i knew that Volley was #1 RA to get.
