...but I've noticed that when skilling with the same item over time, the item name will change slightly. For example I was crafting 'stable energy alloy tinctures' and when I went to sell them, the first ten were named as 'Crackling stable energy alloy tincture' but those after that were 'stable energy alloy tincture'. There was no diff in quality (all 94/95) is there any difference at all, or is it just a bug?

Let me take a wild guess here.
You crafted 10 stable energy alloy tincture, then logged/ld'ed and then crafted some more.

The names of alchemy and SC items changes names slightly (mainly by adding something infront of the name) when you log.

I'm not sure but iirc zoning also causes this.
