The night of Blades.

Firstly I must congratulated all the Midgardian Shadowblades who carried themselves with cunning and vigour last night as Albion and Hibbies fell unto the Axe and Sword.
The list of Bladers is large but a couple of ppl in particular i would like to thank are Pinkeyxs, Awol and Unidgerd.

The most fun had by Shadowblades must have been the ganking of the extremly attentive and astute Nightblader (aka Shiteblader )who after the first time being of ganked by myself and Unidgerd came back for some more in the same area. Even after I botched the first backstab attempt and unstealthed behind him he still didn't see me letting us gank him for a second time; while another inf must have been looking on, who in turn got a ganking (unfortunately didn't bring his name in today but wil edit and post the victim tomorrow)

My thx must go out to all the 4 pointer victims i ganked through the evening, who graciously died for my cause.

I was in Alb with Nightblader last night and he was professing how fantastic he was and that there were 7 soulblades there all watching us. Im not entirely sure what he was thinking we would do about it but apparently we were all stupid because we couldnt see the stealthers, even the one that was behind a tree.

Im glad you posted, now I have confirmation of what I thought - he was shite.

Been in thid since last friday, always solo never grouped.
ive amassed 245 rps, only ever killed 6 casters.mostly i hunt enemy stealthers..and of course my favorite class kill the Minstrel.

would just like to give respect to 2 infiltrators (both female characters) they know who they are. ive only been killed twice
1v1.these 2 handed me my ass on silver plater..

Unfortunatley i have a weakness for the ladies of albion :wub: and seam
to stuff up my styles when confronted by there beauty..

Thing is, just about any class will be handed their arse if out numbered, would be interesting to see how you would do on your own if 2 infs opened up on you, would also be interesting to see you in a 1 on 1, see how well you do. I know I only lost 1 fight 1 on 1 to a SB, and he died right after me too, I know he was buffed to the hilt as well (that was my own fault too, to much spamming of style keys ). But I lost plenty and died very fast when there were 2 or more assassins, it doesn't take a great deal of skill to kill an opponent if you have backup.

Well to be honest i was actually observing the Batle Grounds lastnight and saw some of the incidents described above. I have never had such a laugh watching this game than seeing the same idiot ganked twice in 5 mins in the same spot by the same ppl. I mean, ok it does happen (hell its happened to me loads of times) but come on - talk about stupid. This Guy (KiteFlyer or WhiteShader) or whatever his name is/was (he probably deleted the character now thru embarressment - i know i would) was running stealthed passed 2 shadow blades and must have thought that having a stealth of 4 or something was gonna keep them from seeing him. Anyway Nosaj actually botched his attack and un stealthed a mile behind him. So what did he do unstealth and run away . NO !!!! He actually keeps running stealthed still convinced that they cant see him. He's like running at 1/2 mile per hour (any slower and hes walking backwards) with 2 SB's running full out after him. Im thinking - its a trap or hes gonna unstealth n run. NOPE !!!!! He just stealthed on like the bionic man in slow motion and went down like a sack in 2 secs. And that was the second time it happened. Boy Oh Boy !!!!!

maybe we were fighting and more of ya m8s have joined in
and ganked me.

Zerking is way more fun than the boring 1 shot kills..

You didnt hear him though - Im not normally one that would slag of ANYONE, in my realm or not but this guy really annoyed me. We were in a group of around 6 and killed around 4 mids nr the albion keep close to the water. Then this nightblader shows up and says something like "Are you all stupid ffs". Obviously Im gonna take offense - who wouldnt?

When I said to him that we cannot see stealth characters he started on about there being on behind a tree that we hadnt seen. Well, the fact that we hadnt seen him would suggest he was not in our line of sight? And still he goes on about it. Then he claims that there are 7 sbs watching us (although this seems to be contradicted by other mids posting here?)

Then I ask him why the attitude? Noone has insulted him etc and he says I have attitude. I then explained about him calling me stupid at which point he reaffirms his belief by saying that I am. Then the insults began.

The fact that he wasnt in the CG (I think), wasnt grouped and generally did his own thing was even more annoying - no doubt he wanted buffs, healing and support with none of the grouping.

between MB and APK..

Every man and a dog has a stealther nowadays! When I was a lad, working in the mine, we had to make do with tanks and wizards!

What I couldnt understand was why you didnt all attack us at once? 7 soulblades would have killed us all no problem I reckon.

Hmm might have been one of the other SBs in the stealth horde.
I definitely remember an SB jumping me, but failed PA, I did /stick, dirt, and started hitting. The SB decided to cut his losses and run so I chased him down and introduced him to my back positional style.
Can't remember the name exactly, but I thought it began with A.

I dont have PA, Cs only 10 for Backstab II which i only use on the rare caster i attack..
also never run from an enemy 1v1.no point you just die without causing harm to them.im a Zerker so both unstealthed without
critstrikes usally means a quick trip back to to the portal keep for the enemy <Unless its a pretty lady>

I killed Awol plenty of times, each time was quite fun

Best time musta been at the mb, and i spotted and /stick'd within a millionth of a second. ANYWAY

Bit unfair this whole post, ive spoken to Nightblader before, and he seemed nice enough. I havnt been in BG's with him, and i hardly know the guy, but i have to say, he might be very new to the game. He has prolly f00ked up his whole spec, and doesnt know his arse from his elbow when it comes to rvr. But if someone has such a lack of knowledge of the game, then bragging about killing him is a waste of time.

Hi all

If you refering to last night then i gotta tell you it wasnt actually nightblader playing that character it was me ^^

My first time playing any kind of stealth class so its hardly likely im gonna know what im doing. As for my attitude i swear i was nice to everyone =/ well except the scout who decided to yell charge and led almost all of the albs silly enough to follow right up to the center keep gate (the green banner means hibs have it guys)

Anyway i had my fun trying out a stealth class the next time im in BG I will be playing my cleric. (unlike many i have the balls to play a non stealth class in bg)

heh, Nightblader laughspammed me and 2 friends after he and his buddys (think they were 8 all together) killed us. Rather amusing since we had killed him like 2-3 times before and all we did was /salute or /bow at him. Don't know why he laughed since he could only hit me for like 30-40 and it was his friends that did all the damage...

Hate to disappoint you Stafford Alebreath, but my self-esteem is fine thanks for your concern and also this is the first and only character I play on DaoC.
The point of the post was that if you play an assasin type character in any game that has a PvP element be it a stealth type or sniper type char you always be attentive 100% of the time because ppl with where possible root you out and kill you; the sheer fact that after getting killed by 2 Shadowblades you don't rezz and run straight back on your own to the same location.

But I would like to report that Nighbalder has either learnt some tactics or is just a coward to face Shadowblades on his own because he has managed to get 2 inf buddies to hunt the BG's with, but feel that laugh spamming all Midgardian stealthers is rather poor for of mirth. You can tell Nightblader that I'm quite happy for him to direct his poor sense of battle honour to me but to cease this dis-honouring of other Midagrdian warriors
