Oh man, my sympathies! I had the shits so bad once I moved my TV and PS2 (Yes it was a while ago, lol) into the bathroom!

Just over two years ago I got a dose of it travelling back from Ireland just after New Year. It started as I was driving off Anglesey, had to stop four times before getting back to Manchester, as soon as I got home it kicked in fully and I literally spent a full night in the bathroom, projectile leaking from one end or the other. Lasted 3 days in total and took me a month to get back to normal afterwards, energy levels were totally fucked.

I had something similar a few weeks ago, just a bug going round that I caught off my neighbour. I felt fine then it hit very suddenly, I was glued to the throne for the best part of a night and vomitting all sorts of things I never even remembered eating. I then felt drained and shit for about 24 hours and then all was well.

I was at about Type 8 I think. :\

Drink plenty of fluids and eat some carbs to keep energy up. Digestive biscuits are good as they have both salt and sugar in them.

Had it last year, and by fuck did I have to have a clear path to the bog from the living room in advance. 7 second warning. I shit thee not. (ditto)

At work we always advise those with D and V NOT to eat until you haven't vomited fluids for 12 hrs, and it should then be something very plain like boiled potatoes or rice, toast or crackers. If you really can't keep fluids down either, try sucking on a couple of ice cubes every hour.....thankfully these nasty bugs generally tend to be fairly short lived in the agressive phase....24-48 hours and then things start to improve. However, they are also HIGHLY contagious so be meticulous about hand hygiene and using sanitising wipes if others have to use the same bathroom as you!

2 weeks ago i had the worst case of flu ive ever had, high fever, coughing, puking and shitting, spending time on the toilet while you shiver from the fever, coughing and puking at the same time. After 2 days it felt like several aliens had burst thru my chest.
