Tis a real shame :( I loved his films when I was a kid, and he seemed such a lovely person.

a true comedy great.

what with him and tony curtis, we've lost 2 of the great entertainers of the 50's and 60's.

Rip Sir Norman.... dont trip on the stairs up to heaven!!

Such a shame, there was a documentry on TV about 2 years ago following him around, and it showed him having to go and live in the nursing home cos he couldn't cope on his own anymore, but it gave him a new lease of life as he had a whole new audience with all the other people in the home. He was in his element

Absoulote legend, RIP old fella

Brilliant fella, shame he had to go but I guess he had a long fruitful life and none of us can ask any more than that.

Rest in peace Sir Norman. :(
