is there a way to choose what does and doesnt startup when windows boots?

cos my comp is taking like 5 minutes to boot. ive got 2.5gb free on C too.

yep, goto run and type "msconfig"

There'll be a few tabs that will set what you want to start up, one for service and one for applications if I remember right...

when you edit it you'll be asked if you want to do selective start up I think, which you do, then you'll need to restart and click "dont show this again" when it asks on start up so you dont get bugged with it every time.

I'd backup some of that porn and delete it from the HDD. The more clutterin your C drive, the slower the boot-up and general performance (due to everything being indexed by windows, so it pretty much checks EVERY file group).

Also, the usua anti-virus and spyware checks, just to make sure you don't have anything lurking.

You might want to download crapcleaner. It's easy to use and also lets you check your registery and helps you delete..well...crap.
