I went a bit mad at my music pusher's place today and got some new cds

-Lamb, What Sound (Limited Edition)
-DJ Shadow, Private Press
-Beck's Odelay
-Eels, daisies of the galaxy

strangely, I feel like such a whore for some reason. once I weighed what I wanted to get with great care, and bought perhaps 5 cds a year. nowadays I get about 4~6 per month. it's strange

heh, Brainfreeze is quite good, I liked Product Placement aswell though, or definately Rare Equations is a nice one, a bit long though.

Brainfreeze is the best mix EVER. Shadow and Chemist are genii of the highest order and that's that!

Is DJ Shadow any good? I've heard alot about him, but i've never heard any of his stuff.

Who does he sound like and what type of music does he play?

His stuff own stuff is hip hop of the higest order.

DJ wise it tends to be scratching and breaks, with a large side order of the rarest, best 45s money can buy.

I'd recommend getting Endtroducing his first LP and the aforementioned Brainfreeze set to find out what the man is capable of. There's also a live set floating about from Austin Texas I can hook you up with.
