All got to do with the curvature of the eye's lens and the shading of nearby objects. I'ts a hypnotic effect almost, which is why all markers on roads are made of contradicting colours (white and black, white and red, black and yellow etc), so you don't hypnotis yourself whilst driving. These are simple tricks thought up by psychologists to relax the mind (had it done to me once) after staring at things like that for a while it's easier for someone to hypnotise you, as your minds been set up for it. Beware.

Last time i saw it, I downloaded it, took it to photoshop, selected the colors and the hex values was not equal to each other, the colors are not alike.... not much can be said to convience me other wise.... would be wierd for my eyes + photoshop to be wrong....
