no sound from spells

I was hunting with a group in SI last night when I realized my spells weren't making any noise. Anybody know what the problem is? All other sounds were working (other peoples spells and everything).

I think it was a bug introduced in 1.62. Happens to me too, the game will be fine for a while then spell casting sounds go eventually all sound goes.

Coincidentally seemed to happen most to me whilst doing Lost Stone quest just to make it even more boring .....

My guess is nothing will happen, 1.63 has goin into internal tests, so guess it will be resolved then - its going to be a shock to have mob sounds back, kinda getting used to the tranquility.

I havent had sound at all since the patch but whats more annoying is that if I go in combat mode with any seer class (I'm leveling a cave shammie) I hear someone healing just behnd me, but the heal soundsas if it has been interupted, and when i turn around noone is ever there
