no keys in quake2, ahhhhhh!, urgent help please!!

When I play Quake 2 on/offline i can play for about 10-15mins then i totally lose my keyboard but not my mouse?!
As i cant quit quake2 i have to press reset.
Pleeeease can someone help me!

My system consists of Abit bx6r2, celeron 400a, 128mb (66&100mhz) ram, Voodoo 3 3000, SB live, Adaptec AVA2920 SCSI, Diamond 56ePro modem, Epson GT7000 scanner and 740 printer, Yamaha CRW4416S writer, Parallel Zip drive, USB mouse (Microsoft), Trust Multimedia Keyboard (drivers for multimedia buttons not installed). All running with latest drivers/firmware (except sblive (cant be arsed with mega download))

I am running win98 and I also had same trouble when I was running win95.
Is there anything in the bios which needs changing?
Any help/advice would be most appreciated.

I wouldnt call them drivers, id call them a waste of time with my system!
Nicked my old mans dinosaur 286 keyboard and now everythings sound again.
