Bet that dragon was surprised when we showed up, he won't mess with us again in a hurry, did anyone else see the fear in his eyes just before he turned us all into a greasy smear with that aoe? I'm telling you, he was ours, only thing we lacked there was tactics, if we'd just used tactics we'd have slaughtered him, no doubt about it, so let's get a thread started here for a cunning assault plan, I reckon our first mistake there was getting hit, that was definitely a bad move, and next time let's try and catch him while he's asleep, or wait till he dies of old age or something .

Anyways, what a rush, that was the most fun I've had in ages, and the death was well worth it for the coolest screenies I've ever taken

4-5 groups actually. Moved thru the zone killing glimmer gheists/death watchers/knights and then (instead of hanging around to exp a bit, my bar was moving quite fast there) we went for the dragon. I was with my back to it nuking a knighth when I suddenly died and everyone around me too. Scrolled up and saw that it had nuked me for 4583dmg

As for tactics we need 2-300 people at least, dedicated groups of rezzers, flanking attacks, siege engines, PBAeers to get underneath them, groups to deal with the knights/gheists etc. As no Hibernian dragon has ever been slayn on any server I don't think we should get our hopes up any time soon

Yep becouse we dont have have 600 plp in our realm (like albion does) so we wont have any chance to kill that dragon, if everybody should move to the dragon from lvl 1 to lvl 50 then our army could consist 150-300plp in it

The best tactic is one that I learned from a player at a very low level when I first started the game... You don't in fact have to kill it, just tell everyone that you soloed it, works for me every time.. now some people in my guild even believe that I can solo purple con water beetles tho I still sometimes get ganked by the collectors

As for pbaoe's.. think again my fellow tree hugging hippy, I believe the dragon is immune to magic, not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure I heard/read it somewhere

The mages would just have to put up with dealing with the glimmer knights if this is the case, and would be a great shame.

Still think it's a bit harsh that you get an xp death for something that can kill you in one hit and you WILL die at whilst attempting to kill it.

Thats why I am not going anywhere near the dragon until lvl 50, when I can just run up and hit him with my staff, not caring with XP death

Besides, I am a better tank than ALL the tanks in the world mwuaahahahahah






Ok, where'd that come from? What I meant was that I would have to send my pet in, and with Cornell soloing the Glimmers, my pet will pull the dragon apart

Tactics?

erm, well seige doesn't work because the Dragon dodges the missiles apparantly and the Dragon is immune to magic.

The only way to do it is attack from all sides, with at least 300 people. Have groups of people knowing what they're doing (rezzers etc...) Use lots of pets and just keep hitting until either you or the Dragon is dead.

I could always try bashing it to death

I am so sorry I killed you all when you came to see me. It's just that you woke me up rather abruptly. I had been out for an Extra hot avalonian tripple vindaloo with extra fire peppers with me old mate the Middie dragon the night before, so when you woke and I turned to see what the noise was I couldnt help burping!!! Unfortunately the fallout from the curry killed you all horribly... still at least you weren't standing behind me when I followed through

I am a nice dragon really, and I just wanted to be your friend. I promise that if you want to come back and see me I wont kill you in horrible ways, and I certainly wont try to eat you.
